The latest Russian universal combat module “Berezhok” was spotted in the direction of Svatovsky in Ukraine. This was announced in the Telegram channel of TV journalist Vladimir Solovyov.
As mentioned in the report, earlier the BMP-2M-based module could only be seen at the Victory Parade on Red Square, and now it was involved in the fire support of tankers.
“At its core it is a lightly armored and therefore more maneuverable tank support complex”, – the publication states.
The pod is also said to be equipped with Kornet anti-tank missiles, a 30mm cannon, an automatic grenade launcher and a 7.62mm machine gun. In addition, "Berezhok" it has a unique fire control system with aiming, thermal imaging and laser rangefinders, as well as panoramic and television sights of the vehicle commander and automatic target tracking.
