The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation announced in a publication on its official website that the Japanese ambassador in Moscow, Toyohisa Kozuki, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry due to the decision of the Japanese authorities to start supplying military equipment to Ukraine.

A publication of the Russian Foreign Ministry states that on June 9, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko summoned Kozuki to appear in connection with the decision of the Japanese leadership to start supplying military equipment to Kiev. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the Japanese side was told that the country's move would lead to an escalation of hostilities and a subsequent increase in the number of human casualties of the Kyiv regime.

In addition, as the Ministry noted, the administration of Japanese Prime Minister Kishido with this, we must be ready to share with the Ukrainian authorities responsible for the deaths of civilians, including in the border areas of Russia, as a result of the crimes of Ukrainian terrorists who actively use the military equipment provided to Kiev.

Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Japan's decision to provide Ukraine with military equipment further leads bilateral relations with Russia to a “dangerous impasse” and this will not remain without consequences.
