Prime Minister of Italy George Meloni called for Ukraine's accession to the European Union to be accelerated. Politico reported.
“The best way to thank the people of Ukraine for their resistance is to accelerate their opportunity to become part of European institutions,” the politician said.
Meloni noted that Ukraine is a kind of security base in Europe. That is why it is necessary to draw attention to the fight against Russia.
Let us recall that earlier the Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu said that he is ready to help Ukraine to join the EU.
