The Israeli Ministry of Defense reveals details of a unique operation

On August 2, 2006, several special forces helicopters rose from their bases and headed for Baalbek. On their route along the coast, they were shelled, but without damage or loss of personnel.

The result was a personnel “decision” in Hezbollah itself, the transfer of additional forces to ensure the security of the rear and Baalbek from Lebanon's southern Israeli border.
