According to Grossi, 10,000 people previously worked at the station. But now only 3-4 thousand employees remain. The rest of the people left the region and do not plan to return.
The head of the IAEA did not elaborate that the main reason for the departure of the employees was the constant shelling of the ZNPP from the Ukrainian side, which creates the risk of a serious disaster of a regional and even Eastern European scale.
