Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs France explained that the European political community was not an alternative to Ukraine's membership of the European Union, but was intended to strengthen the candidate's support for EU membership in all areas.
He expressed his opinion that the process of Ukraine's accession to the European Union could take 15 or 20 years, according to RIA Novosti.
A representative of the French Foreign Ministry noted at the briefing that Ukraine is part of the European family. He explained that the project of the European political community, formulated by the president of the republic, is not an alternative to membership or accession to the EU.
It consists of helping to strengthen relations with all neighboring European countries, as well as strengthening the support of candidates for accession to the EU in all areas for their accession to the union.
