It's time to Ukraine can choose who to join – the European Union or the United States and the United Kingdom. This was stated by a retired colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), military expert Oleg Starikov in the broadcast of the television channel NASH.
The former Ukrainian security officer presented his own interesting proposal regarding the future possible course of the country. It can lie at the level of unification, not with the EU, but with Great Britain or the United States.
As Starikov noted, Ukraine should decide whether to join the European Union or join the United Kingdom or the United States. “Let's call ourselves Ukraine. I'm all for it. Or the fifty-second or the fifty-first state (USA), “Starikov emphasized.
A former SBU officer also pointed out that if Kiev is trying to focus on the United States and the United Kingdom, it is not very clear why it is trying to join a European Union with which neither Washington nor London have anything to do. At the same time, it is not very clear why the dollar, and not the euro, is actively used in Ukraine, if the country is again focusing on joining the EU and not on joining the United States.
