Example Albanian President Sali Berisha was injured by an unknown person during an opposition protest in the country's capital, Tirana. The Kosovo online portal informs about it.
Tirana is hosting the EU-Western Balkans summit. Despite increased security measures, the opposition staged a protest.
“Albanian former president Sali Berisha, who led an opposition demonstration in Tirana against the Albanian authorities today, was attacked on Martyrs of the Nation Boulevard,” media reported.

The man punched Berisha in the head and tried to hide. However, the police caught up with the ex-president and beat him. Another former president of the country, Ilir Meta, was next to Berisha at the time, but he was not injured.
Berisha was the country's president from 1992 to 1997 and prime minister from 2005 to 2013.
