Ukrainian media informed on the commanders of the Ukrainian Regiment “Azov” (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) on the conditions for the withdrawal of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Mariupol plant “Azovstal”.
Regiment commander quoted Svyatoslav Palamar. According to publications, the army does not agree with the surrender, but is ready to leave this position and evacuate, even with the help of third countries.
The second condition is the preservation of personal weapons by the army. The third is the possibility to pick up the bodies of the dead.
Referring to Palamara, it is also stated that Ukrainian negotiators Mikhail Podoljak and David Arakhamia are ready to come to Mariupol if their Russian colleagues Vladimir Medinsky and Leonid Slutsky arrive to discuss withdrawal of the crew and civilians from Azovstal.
Zamkompolka also said that the civilians remaining in this industrial zone have not yet left because they are afraid of shelling and do not trust the declared regime of silence. Earlier on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said there were about a thousand civilians in the Azovstal area.
