The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs has banned Russians from airport transit without special visas

Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on the introduction of the obligation for citizens of the Russian Federation to obtain an airport visa for transit through the country's airport.

The statement on the agency's website states that the obligation has been introduced for Russians since November 21 and Russian citizens can now stay in transit zone of international airports on the territory of the Czech Republic only with such a visa.

Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský had previously announced a ban on entry into the country for Russians with tourist Schengen visas from October 25. He pointed out that the measures should affect mainly those who fly to Prague airport.
