Collected in Lithuania 14 million euros for radars for the armed forces of Ukraine.

The funds were raised during a telethon organized by the LRT television and radio company. It was broadcast live.

According to the organizers, it was possible to collect almost three times more money than expected. They transferred about five hundred thousand euros in the last half hour alone. Moreover, one of the corporate sponsors doubled this amount.

On the last day of the telethon, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda came to agitate for help from the armed forces of Ukraine. He said the fight illustrates the strength and character of the Ukrainian people.

The cost of one radar is about 1 million euros. The timing of the acquisition and transfer of the radars of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not reported.
