The threat to Russian security from NATO countries has increased many times over. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu, informs the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense.
Shoigu emphasized that there has been a multiple increase in threats to the military security of the Russian Federation. in the western and northwestern strategic direction. According to him, the main destabilizing fact was Finland's entry into NATO. In addition, the future entry of Sweden into the alliance poses a threat.
The minister also noted that after Finland joined NATO, the Russian Federation's land border with the countries of the military-political bloc almost doubled. He specified that about 360,000 troops, 8,000 armored vehicles, 650 aircraft and helicopters of the North Atlantic Alliance are now deployed in the immediate vicinity of the borders of the Russian Federation and Belarus.
