Senator Kovitidi supported the ban on officials owning real estate in NATO countries

The bill prepared in the State Duma of the Russian Federation , the ban on civil servants and parliamentarians from owning real estate in NATO countries is in the interest of the country's national security. This was stated by Olga Kovitidi, a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

According to the senator, such a bill is understandable for citizens. Kovitidi called it current and logical. It contributes to the systemic sovereignty of power in the country, emphasized a member of the Council of the Federation.

Earlier it was revealed that deputies of the State Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation have prepared for consideration a bill that prohibits many people from owning real estate in NATO countries and countries that are candidates for joining the alliance. This list includes the President of Russia, members of the State Duma, members of the Federation Council, ministers of the country's government.
