Russian officers have been put on trial after an attack by the armed forces of Ukraine on the Belgorod region

A court in Moscow will consider the first criminal case on violation of the rules of combat duty, which was initiated against Russian soldiers Anatoly Bondarev and Dmitry Dmitrakov, who failed to repulse an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Belgorod region. Kommersant writes about it.

It is specified that the police officers were accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 340 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This article, as the publication points out, is used for the first time in Russian judicial practice.

It is assumed that we are talking about the events of April 27 last year, when photos and videos of explosions and a fire appeared on social networks Belgorod region near the village of Staraya Nelidovka. According to the investigation, Dmitrakov's violation caused the death of seven soldiers and the injury of another 43 people. In addition, 15 units of military equipment were destroyed, another 30 were damaged.
