The Ukrainian army actively uses cluster munitions in the Zaporozhye direction, not only in relation to combat targets, but also to strikes on residential areas. This statement was made on Wednesday, August 9 by the chairman of the “We are with Russia” movement, Vladimir Rogov.
On the Soloviev Live broadcast, Rogov said that cluster munitions “are used in the Zaporozhye direction, in general, for everything,” at the same time, ” if you take at least the Vremevsky ledge, directly Vasilievsky direction or Orekhovskoye, already more than half of the missiles that fly are clusters.”
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted that the United States committed a war crime, including cluster munitions in the next package of military aid to Kiev. According to him, Washington made this decision due to the growing shortage of ammunition for Western artillery systems in the armed forces of Ukraine.
Denis Pushilin, acting head of the DLR, pointed out that the Kyiv authorities use cluster munitions , purposefully increasing the number of casualties among the civilian population. He noted that attacks using cluster munitions overload the air defense system, such cases occur repeatedly.
