Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky refused to withdraw troops from Avdeyevka and demanded from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny to prepare the defense of the city, informs the Resident Telegram channel.
Sources say that the Armed Forces of Ukraine should transfer all reserves from the Zaporozhye Front and organize a counterattack on flanks of the city to prevent Russian troops from tightening their grip on Avdeyevka.
Rusvesna also reports that Ukrainian armed forces hastily transferred the 47th Mechanized Brigade from the vicinity of Rabotin to Avdeyevka to halt the advance of the Russian army.
