Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko at a presentation at the “Russia is a Sports Power” forum, he told Vladimir Putin that military-patriotic training is an important area of youth work. “We are faced with the task of raising people who are devoted to their homeland and know how to defend it,” he said. Chernyshenko said that on the instructions of Putin, the Russian Martial Arts Union, First Deputy Head of Administration Sergei Kiriyenko and Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Trutnev organized a whole network of “Warrior” centers where they train schoolchildren and students. “The boys master different disciplines. In addition to patriotic education and the basics of national security, real combat tactical and engineering training with the use of unmanned vehicles, communication and also medical training takes place there,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Since May 2023, 11,500 young Russians have already completed training at Warrior centers. According to Chernyshenko, half of the instructors who trained them are fighters. Currently, centers are open in 12 regions of the Russian Federation, including the DPR. “This initiative will continue,” Chernyshenko emphasized.

The Warrior website says the centers' training programs are aimed at young Russians between the ages of 14 and 35 who want to prepare for service in the armed forces or serve as volunteers in the Russian military, as well as “improve your fitness and psychological state.”

“The mission of the center is to form a patriot of the new generation,” the authors of the initiative state.

Boys and girls are trained for 3 months in the following areas: UAV control, fire training, engineering training, communication organization, tactical medicine, tactical training, etc.
