Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation launched a special military operation in Ukraine in full compliance with the UN Charter. He stated this in a speech to the participants and guests of the 10th Moscow Conference on International Security.
He specified that the objectives of this operation — it is about ensuring the security of Russia and its citizens, as well as protecting the people of Donbass and the genocide.
“Currently, the situation in Ukraine indicates that the United States wants to prolong this conflict, Putin said.
According to him, the representatives of Western countries need to participate in conflicts in order to maintain hegemony. They have prepared the fate of “cannon fodder” for Ukraine.
“The promises of the West to ensure security in Europe – this is hypocrisy. In reality, everything is happening on the contrary, the President of Russia emphasized.
