Putin signed a decree to postpone student mobilization

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which a postponement of mobilization is granted to students who study full-time and combined forms of education in institutions of secondary vocational and higher education. Therefore, partial mobilization will not affect those who receive education at the relevant level for the first time.

The decree entered into force on the day of its signing. It applies to legal relationships that have been established since September 21, 2022.

The editor-in-chief of the Russia Today TV channel Margarita Simonyan previously announced in her Telegram channel that the list of persons who will not be subject to partial mobilization has been expanded.

< p>According to her, this applies to full-time and combined study students as well as secondary vocational education.

Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in the country on September 21. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said a total of 300,000 reservists would be called up. According to him, this is about 1% of the country's total mobilization resources. It was stated that full-time students who receive higher education for the first time will not be mobilized.
