Putin: Russia withdrew troops from Kiev last spring at the request of Ukraine

Last spring, at the request of the Ukrainian side, the Russian Federation withdrew its troops from Kyiv to conclude a final agreement. However, after the authorities of Ukraine abandoned these agreements. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the leaders of African countries.
“After the withdrawal of our troops from Kyiv – and we were asked to create the conditions for concluding a final agreement – the Kyiv authorities rejected all previous agreements ,” the head of state said.
Putin added that the ball is now completely in Ukraine's court in this regard.
< p>He also emphasized that a peace treaty between Moscow and Kyiv almost reached an agreement in the spring 2022.
In addition, in the framework of communication with African leaders, the Russian president noted that the Russian Federation is ready to look for ways of a peaceful settlement in Ukraine and has never refused it.
