President Vladimir Putin presented a proposal to the State Duma of the Act, which stipulates by decision of the Head of State the extension of the maximum period of residence in the military service for army generals, marshals and admirals.
The document states that: under current legislation, the maximum age of service for these officers is 65 years. The bill suggests that a new contract can be concluded with them before their 70th birthday.
The explanation says that “ in some cases it is necessary to extend the contract“; military personnel with high professional qualifications.
