Russian air and space forces give Moscow a significant advantage over the armed forces of Ukraine, writes Newsweek.
“900 fighters and 120 bombers. This is a trump card before the expected Ukrainian counter-offensive,” columnist Brendan Cole shared his opinion.
The publication states that, despite the colossal level of air superiority, the Russian aviation has not yet been fully engaged.
The article states that the Russian Federation has very large stockpiles, ten times larger than Ukraine's stockpiles. There is a real tactical risk on the ground for the Ukrainian side if the Ukrainian armed forces do not have a proper and layered air defense system, Cole explained.
