Putin agreed to hold military exercises with Belarus after the New Year

Russian President Vladimir During a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Putin said that Russia and Belarus would hold a joint military exercise early next year. These maneuvers were previously announced by Alexander Lukashenko.

“As you suggested, we will hold them at the beginning of the year, the army will agree,” Putin said.

He added that exact dates had not yet been set, but events were scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.

Lukashenko again noted that “the exercise process should not be stopped.”
