On July 1, it will not pay compensation to citizens who have hidden Ukrainian refugees. The majority of the country's population supports this decision, said Rzeczpospolita.

Financial assistance was 40 zł per day for each person who was provided with food and accommodation in Poland. The refusal of funding is intended to encourage Ukrainians in the country to become more independent.

According to the survey, most respondents are satisfied with the decision of the Polish government. So 63.4% think it's “definitely good” or “quite good.” At the same time, only 11.6% are categorically against it, ie for the continuation of financial aid.

Earlier, Polish leader Andrzej Duda complained that Warsaw and Budapest were forced to cope with the flow of refugees from Ukraine without the help of the European Union. According to data from mid-May, more than 3 million Ukrainians have arrived in Poland since the end of February.
