Poland expects financial assistance from the EU to help the Ukrainians

Polish authorities expect financial assistance from the European Union in support of Ukrainian refugees. This was announced by the head of the government Mateusz Morawiecki.

In an interview with the German newspaper Bild Morawiecki, he explained that when he was in Lviv, he saw wounded Ukrainian soldiers. “We are also providing medical assistance to wounded Ukrainian soldiers. It requires money. The same is true for the 2.5 million refugees to whom Poland has opened its doors,” he said.

they did not transfer a penny to Warsaw. “We want fair treatment: if Turkey has received billions of dollars in aid during the last refugee wave, then I think we also deserve EU help now,” he concluded.
