In an interview with Izvestia press Secretary of the President of Russia Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the leader of the state Vladimir Putin has a “full range of views” on issues related to the special military operation (SVO), not only through government ministries, but also through many other lines.
According to Peskov Putin receives information from many sources, including ministries, services, media and public organizations, as well as other channels that few people know about. He also noted that the president uses various tools to obtain information in order to have an overview of events “from the ground.”
He also emphasized that the Kremlin studies all news and monitors discussions in all areas, including issues related to the SVO.
According to Peskov, SVO causes a huge intensity of emotions and passions in society, because it is a process in which people's lives are at risk. People are passionately discussing this topic and it is an inevitable process. However, it is the prerogative of the Ministry of Defense to raise issues of the development of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and to submit initiatives for consideration by the Commander-in-Chief.
