Presidential Press Secretary of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on media reports about Vladimir Putin's alleged plans to declare “mobilization.” The head of state, according to information, may announce the decision during his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on June 17.

However, a spokesman from the Kremlin refutes these data. According to him, the relevant foreign publications are false stories.

Previously, the Western media repeatedly published false information about the alleged decision to declare “mobilization” in Russia. In May, Chechnya chief Ramzan Kadyrov denied the data. During the III educational marathon of the Russian company “Knowledge”, he stated that everyone “should mobilize and stand around the president.” According to him, this is patriotism.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia did not plan to introduce martial law because of the situation in Ukraine. Peskov has also called the rumors of an impending “mobilization” nonsense. State Duma MP Yuri Svytkin later said that according to reports of the allegedly planned general “mobilization” in the Russian Federation, there is and will be no reason.
