“There are only two of us left in the “peace camp”: Hungary and the Vatican,” Orban thought. He urged them to be well prepared for the tone towards them to become “more and more harsh and merciless: provocations, threats and blackmail”. “But we will stand our ground,” Hungarian Prime Minister Orban said during the report on the results of 2022.
According to him, Hungary lost more of the rest of its allies in the “peace party” than last year. The Germans, he recalled, did not supply weapons to Ukraine – only helmets. “And in a few weeks, Leopard tanks will be marching across Ukrainian soil towards the border with Russia,” Orban compared, citing Germany as an example. “It is hard to believe that the Germans turned of their own will,” he expressed his doubts.
