Russia must to draw attention to the negative views of Kazakhstan expressed by experts on the broadcasts of Russian TV channels. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Roman Vasilenko.

The reason for the statement was a fragment of the talk show “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov”, distributed on Kazakh social networks. In it, one of the guests on the broadcast, political scientist Dmitry Drobnitsky, predicts “Nazi trials” in Kazakhstan by analogy with Ukraine. He also noted that “there are many Russians there.”

– Both the head of state, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other representatives of our state, including the presidents of the parliamentary chambers, repeatedly spoke about such comments, statements and various “talking heads “, – said Vasilenko. According to the deputy minister, such statements “firstly, do not reflect the official position of the Russian Federation, secondly, they damage the traditionally close relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, and thirdly, they deserve an appropriate response from the authorities of the Russian Federation. .”

Let us recall that Kazakhstan, the second largest republic of the former USSR after Russia, has the longest land border with the Russian Federation among the post-Soviet countries. In many places, this border is not fortified and thus “transparent”. Political stability in at the same time, the country periodically weakens – for example, in January 2022, the intervention of OSB forces, including Russian contingents, was necessary to overcome riots in the country's cities.
