NYT: Israel suspends operations in Gaza on US advice

Israel suspended military operations in the Gaza Strip and instead, it conducts more limited ground maneuvers in coordination with the United States. This was reported by The New York Times (NYT), citing US officials.

According to the agency, the temporary refusal to send Israeli troops to Gaza, at least initially, is in line with the suggestions that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said to his colleagues in Tel Aviv.

In turn, representatives of the US presidential administration said it was impossible to predict what Israel would do as a result of the negotiations. They believe that based on the increase in airstrikes and ground invasions over the past three days, Tel Aviv is becoming increasingly aggressive.
