Turkish President Erdogan discussed the situation in Ukraine by phone with UN Secretary General Guterres

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has apparently returned to full-time work. Turkish media, citing the presidential office, informs about in a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, during which the parties discussed the situation in Ukraine.
Erdogan reportedly told Guterres that his country was ready “to help the UN in any way” to end the conflict in Ukraine.
Guterres discussed the situation in Sudan and Syria with the Turkish leader. Erdogan, as reported in his office, said in July that it was important to expand the functioning of the UN mechanism for cross-border assistance in Syria.
