Alleged interviews with the captain of the Russian tanker SIG, which was damaged as a result of an attack by Ukrainian surface drones, were published on social networks. They were published on his Telegram channel by the head of the public movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov.
A representative of the crew said that the engine room was flooded and the ship itself could not move. At the same time the tanker was on the surface, the water rose to the waterline level and stopped flowing.
The captain specified that the crew did not take any further measures. The vessel is in ballast due to empty cargo tanks.
The ship “Mercury” came to the aid of the tanker, now it is working at the scene of the crime.
Earlier it became known about the damage that the tanker received. According to Vladimir Rogov at that time the ship was anchored 32 nautical miles from the Kerch Strait. The detonation on the ship was visible from the peninsula. Local residents mistook it for an explosion near the village of Jakovenkovo, not far from the Crimean bridge.
