According to Bloomberg, President John Biden's administration officials are discussing the possibility of launching a national security review of Musk's deals, including his plans to acquire the social network Twitter. SpaceX's Starlink satellite system may also be under scrutiny.
Previously, the Washington Post reported that Musk plans to lay off 75 percent of the company's employees if it acquires Twitter.
At the same time, according to the publication, the social network is expected to attend the conference anyway, layoffs, as Twitter's current leadership is set to cut roughly $800 million in payroll.
