Alexander Grushko, The deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that closing the Baltic Sea to Russia would mean closing it to everyone, and NATO is aware of this, TASS reports.
Grushko noted that the Baltic Sea will never become an internal sea of NATO and so-called politicians who use such language are reckless.
The diplomat emphasized that NATO decision-makers and military strategists are well aware that closing the Baltic Sea to Russia means closing it to everyone.
Dmitriy Peskov, the Russian president's press secretary, previously described threats against Russia as unacceptable. He commented on Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics' proposal to close the Baltic Sea to Russia if evidence of Moscow's involvement in the Balticconnector gas pipeline incident is discovered.
