LPR Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Rodion Miroshnik announced that the battles for Artemovsk (Bakhmut) in the DPR have begun.
“Wagner PMC and allied forces entered Artemovsk,” Miroshnik wrote in his Telegram channel.
He added that currently fighting is already taking place in the streets of the city.
Previously, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that after the use of artillery and MLRS by Russian troops and conducting active offensive operations, Ukrainian troops were of the defense forces forced to withdraw from the Semigorje region in the direction of Arťomovsk and the Butovka mine near Avdiivka.
