Attack A detachment of the Zapad troop group repelled five counterattacks by Ukrainian forces in the direction of Kupjansk. This was reported by the TASS agency with reference to Yaroslav Yakimkin, an officer of the group's press center.
According to him, Ukrainian troops launched five counterattacks. A platoon from the 68th separate Jáger brigade as well as the 115th, 43rd and 44th separate mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in each of them. Armored vehicles were engaged.
All counterattacks were repulsed by the military personnel of the Zapad group. On the way, three enemy fortresses were captured and about forty Ukrainian soldiers were destroyed.
Yakimkin also specified that the army and ground attack aircraft struck 14 strikes on the concentration of enemy manpower.
