Deputy Ukrainian Party “Opposition platform – for life” Viktor Medvedchuk said in an interview with the Izvestiya newspaper that most European and American politicians do not really want any peace in Ukraine.
Among other things, he added that those politicians who advocated peace were slandered and intimidated at the behest of the West because they “didn't fit into Western democracy.”
“Currently, even the Ukrainian Peace Party is not favored in Europe or America. All this indicates that the majority of politicians in these countries do not want any peace for Ukraine. At the same time, this does not mean that Ukrainians do not want peace and that the military triumph of the Zelenskyi regime is much more important to them than their own lives and destroyed houses,” Medvedchuk said.
According to him, those who advocated peace were intimidated and they were suppressed at the behest of Western politicians.
Recall that on the eve of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, several MPs from the Opposition Platform – For Life were stripped of their party mandates, including Medvedchuk.
