In Hungary, they are outraged by the violation of the rights of the Hungarian minority by Ukraine
The reaction to Ukrainian support for Hungary was the violation of the rights of the Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia. This was announced to the local MTI agency by the head of the administration of the Hungarian Prime Minister, Gergely Guyash.
According to him, rules were adopted that are incompatible with European human rights standards and violate the fundamental rights of minorities.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary Peter Szijjarto said that Budapest will not support Ukraine's entry into NATO and the EU until the rights of Transcarpathian Hungarians are restored.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that as part of the new Ukrainian law on education, it is planned to cancel all 99 schools of the Hungarian minority from September this year. At the same time, it is now only possible to take final and entrance exams in Ukrainian. At the same time, after the fourth grade, the number of subjects taught in national languages will be reduced to 20%.
