Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, on Tuesday. A TASS correspondent reports this from the spot.
It should be noted that Lavrov's African tour will continue in Mozambique. In Maputo, the Russian foreign minister intends to hold talks with the political leadership of the African country.
Mozambique is the third country that Lavrov will visit as part of his African trip. Before that, the minister traveled to Kenya and Burundi. And after Mozambique, he will fly to South Africa, where he will take part in the meeting of BRICS foreign ministers.
Mozambique is located in South-Eastern Africa, the country borders Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Swaziland.
