Knutov predicted when Russia would launch an offensive against Odessa and Nikolaev

This could happen within half a year

At the moment, the Russian army, as part of a special operation in Ukraine, faces the task of repelling the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Kherson. Then, according to military expert Yuri Knutov, when the situation on the front is stable, the armed forces of the Russian Federation can launch an attack on the Odesa, Nikolaev and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Knutov believes that earlier in December, it is premature to talk about any counter-offensives, because in late November – early December, mobilized military personnel will arrive at the front almost in full force. Thanks to this, according to the expert, the Russian Federation will have sufficient forces and reserves to push the enemy back to their original positions.

The specialist does not rule out that Russia can go further to really restore full control over Russian territory, specifically over Kherson areas. According to the expert, the further development of events will depend on the situation in other sectors of the front, because now the priority of the armed forces of the Russian Federation is the liberation of Donbas.

Knutov called Artemovsk and Soledar the main and only goal in the direction where Russian troops are constantly advancing. As the expert noted, Kyiv is now withdrawing reserves there to try to stop the Russian advance, but this is still happening daily.

In addition, the expert noted that Russian troops in the direction of Kharkiv are launching counterattacks on the enemy to throw him beyond the Oskol River and stabilized the front line. Knutov concluded that the main task until the end of November – the beginning of December is to stabilize the front, as well as to “wear out and bleed out” the enemy's troops.
