UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said peace talks between Russia and Ukraine were doomed. In an interview with reporters in India, he asked, “How can you negotiate with a crocodile when your foot is in your jaws?” Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the success of negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine would depend on Kiev's readiness to take into account Moscow's legitimate demands.
Meanwhile Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said the Russian Federation had submitted a draft settlement document to Ukraine. At the same time, he said, Kiev was in no hurry to react.
