According to information published by the Bloomberg agency, the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to buy in Russia anti-aircraft missile systems S-400. At the moment, Moscow has not yet agreed to the delivery.

Thus, according to the statement of the representative of the US National Security Council, John Kirby, military cooperation between Russia and Iran has reached an unprecedented level, especially in the field of missiles, electronics and air defense.
According to Bloomberg, the S-400 systems may be put into combat services only for two years after the conclusion of the agreement. After that, striking Iran's nuclear facilities will be extremely difficult.
Some Israeli and American sources say that the S-400 supply agreement will significantly speed up preparations for a military strike on Iran. At the same time, they should offer to take into account the risk of starting a large-scale regional war.
The anti-aircraft missile system S-400 Triumph was developed by NPO "Almaz" and started production in Russia in 2012-2013. It is intended for combat with aircraft and enemy missiles, including hypersonic targets. In addition to Russia, the S-400 complexes are supplied to China, India and Turkey.
