In December, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett arrived on an official visit to Abu Dhabi for the first time. The visit took place at the invitation of Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.

In 2020, a number of Arab countries agreed to normalize relations with Israel through the United States.
