Abkhazia's parliament amended the law on administrative offenses and increased the fine for appearing outside the beaches in a swimsuit or naked 20 times. It should be noted that from August 1, violators will face a fine of 6 thousand rubles instead of 300 rubles.

The resolution of the regional parliament states that the occurrence in all types of public transport and in all public places, except for beaches and places reserved to go swimming means imposing a fine of 100 times the minimum wage. Previously, this amount was 300 rubles, or five times the minimum wage.

Deputy Daut Khutaba, introducing the law to the parliament, said that the presence of a large number of tourists and vacationers supplements the budget of Abkhazia, but one cannot forget about the national mentality and education of the country's youth in the spirit of the Apsuary (an ethical moral code). The deputy pointed out that many vacationers believe that if they are on vacation, they are not obliged to pay attention to their appearance and allow themselves to walk in a swimsuit in public places.

Khutaba emphasized that such behavior causes resentment both the older generation, as well as young people from the local population, given that it is not customary to dress like this in public in Abkhazian society.
