Russian Press Service The producer and exporter of liquefied natural gas Gazprom published a statement in Telegram commenting on the decision of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova to refuse to pay the historical debt of JSC Moldovagaz.
Recall that the amount of the debt today is 709 million US dollars. Based on the results of the audit, the Moldovan side said it was ready to return only $8.6 million to Gazprom.
The Russian supplier recalled that the auditor and the terms of the tender for the purchase of his services were unilaterally determined by Moldova without an agreement with ” Gazprom and Moldovagaz, so its conclusions cannot affect the amount of the debt.
Gazprom categorically disagrees with the statements of the Moldovan side and intends to continue to defend its rights in all possible ways,” the press service said in a statement.
