Referee of the Crimean Football Union (CFU) Konstantin Popov died in the zone of a special military operation, said the head of the union, Sergei Borodkin.
“Unfortunately, Konstantin died, that's true,” confirmed the head of the organization. According to him, Popov was blown up by a mine and “died today in the hospital”. It is not yet known when the funeral will take place, according to Borodavkin, the body will be brought “most likely on Monday.”
Popov was 25 years old.
