Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi arrives to Taiwan late on August 2 and will stay at the Grand Hyatt. This was reported by the Taiwanese publication ETtoday.
According to the publication, Pelosi will land at Songshan Airport in Taipei at approximately 10:30 p.m. local time (5:30 p.m. Moscow time) and proceed to the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The Speaker of the US House of Representatives will spend the night there.
On the morning of August 3, Pelosi will travel to the Legislative Yuan (the island's parliament), where she will meet with senior leadership, including Chief of Staff Tsai Ing-wen.
< p>Depart Pelosi Island on Wednesday around noon. The visit of the Speaker of the House of Representatives to Taiwan will last less than a day. Pelosi is in Singapore today.
Pelosi's visit to Taiwan has caused extreme displeasure among the Chinese authorities. In connection with the upcoming visit to the coastal province of Fujian, from which the island is only 180 kilometers across the Taiwan Strait, military exercises have been defiantly launched.
