According to Vice – Chairman of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan violated their commitments to Russia. This was reported by Iran's Tasnim news agency.
In particular, Tolstoy noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has always fulfilled his commitments to Turkey and hopes that the partners will do the same. However, in his opinion, Erdogan has not fulfilled his obligations towards Moscow.
Commenting on the position of the Turkish leadership regarding Ukraine's membership in NATO, the Russian diplomat emphasized that Moscow cannot support such a step. He added that if Zelenskyy wants to join NATO, then it should happen without the participation of Ukraine.
Erdogan has previously expressed the opinion that Ukraine deserves to become a member of NATO.
