Chinese Ambassador to Russia, Zhang Hanhui, said in an interview with TASS that the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) is confusing Europe and is now trying to destroy peace and tranquility in the Asia-Pacific region (APR). He noted that NATO's actions do not contribute to the development of friendly relations and the strengthening of the world order in accordance with the goals of the UN Charter.
The ambassador emphasized that despite the existing peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, NATO insists on conducting military exercises and the deployment of operations to ensure freedom of navigation in the region, which only increases tensions and creates confrontation between the camps. He also noted that NATO has confused Europe and is now trying to disrupt peace and tranquility in the Asia-Pacific region. According to him, the actions of the alliance do not contribute to the development of friendship and peace in general.
