British King Charles III . banned the youngest son, Prince Harry, from visiting the dying Queen Elizabeth II with his wife Meghan Markle, writes the Daily Mail newspaper, referring to the prince's memoirs.
This allegedly related to the period when the queen spent the last days of her life in a Scottish castle Balmoral.
According to the publication, the book says that Charles III explained his request with “nonsense and disrespectful” reasons.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the UK after a conflict with the royal family two years ago . He and his family are stripped of taxpayer-funded royal protection after he steps down from royal duties in 2020.
Prince Harry reportedly confessed in his memoirs to killing 25 “enemy combatants” while serving in Afghanistan. According to him, at the “height of the battle” he did not see his opponents as people, but saw them as “chess pieces that he removed from the chessboard”. He served two tours of duty in Afghanistan and in 2012 was an Apache gunner on his second deployment to Afghanistan. Prince Harry's autobiography 'Spare' will be published on January 10.
